چکیده

Introduction/Objective. Bone resorption is a common problem in dentistry, and bone reparation cannot be easily achieved. Several techniques of grafting the use low-level laser treatment (LLLT) as new therapeutic optional recommended for improving repair were applied. The aim study was to investigate influence LLLT artificially made defects rat mandible using histomorphometry. Methods. research carried out on 60 female rats. mandible, animals divided into two groups, each containing 30 animals. In group, implantation site submitted GaAlAs irradiation 670 nm, 5 mW, 4 minutes per day days. control group had no postoperative treatment. sacrificed after two, six, eight weeks post LLLT, preparations analysed by histomorphometry, determining area fraction, area, integral density, mean density variation. Results. Histomorphometric analysis revealed statistically higher values six weeks. However, beneficial effect noticed Conclusion. Low-level lasers have stimulating reparatory mechanisms early regeneration stage can used useful helping method

Enhancement of bone formation in rat calvarial bone defects using low-level laser therapy.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the effect of low-level laser therapy (LLLT), using a GaAlAs diode laser device, on bone healing and growth in rat calvarial bone defects. STUDY DESIGN An animal trial of 4 weeks' duration was conducted using a randomized blind, placebo-controlled design. Standardized round osseous defects of 2.7 mm diameter were made in each parietal bone of 20 rats (n=40 defects). The ...

Effect of low level laser therapy on the repair of bone defects grafted with inorganic bovine bone.

The aim of this study was to assess histologically the effect of LLLT (lambda 830 nm) on the repair of standardized bone defects on the femur of Wistar albinus rats which were grafted with inorganic bovine bone Gen-ox(R). Three randomized groups were studied: group I (control, n=6); group II (Gen-ox, n=9) and group III (Gen-ox + LLLT, n=9). The animals were irradiated every 48 h during 15 days;...
